Another example of how a bespoke staircase can be the most beautiful piece of furniture in a house. In this case, a £30m house.
These sweeping mahogany handrails were manufactured and installed without a steel core rail – fixing the cast spindles directly into the underside of the wood with precisely drilled out holes on one of our CNC machines. The sweeping stair spanned 5 floors. Made up of around 60 bespoke components, the handrail arrived on site pre-assembled, reducing time and waste on site. The handrail was French polished with multiple coats of traditional shellac, to bring out the grandeur of the handrail and show off the traditional detailed profile section.
We were able to present a fully interactive 3D model for our customer to inspect and admire the handrail before we produced it.
