Handrail Creations Sets Employees Award Winning Challenge

For a second year in a row, we have been asked to design and manufacture the trophies for the prestigious TTJ Awards.
This year, we are running a design competition for all employees, which will help to strengthen work relationships, encourage innovation and creativity and reward hard work. As an incentive, the employee who designs the winning trophy design will attend the awards ceremony with the directors of Handrail Creations – and see their own creation given to the winners. As a specialist manufacturing unit we must always push boundaries. Being able to encourage creativity and rewarding innovation like this really brings out the best in our staff, and it’s great for team building. Exciting competitions and incentives like this ensure we are pushing our staff to think outside the box, and this is what sets us apart as an employer and a manufacturer.
The company’s pioneering presence has been noted within the timber industry, by being selected to design and manufacture the awards for the annual TTJ ceremony two years running.

Entries for the competition have already been pouring in as the workforce test their drawing skills and push their innovation to the limit. Damian Hockey, an Apprentice CAM Engineer at Handrail Creations said,
“There have been many different designs and lots of creativity to give the best look to the awards. My personal design consisted of moving parts to give a little function as well as form, and other designs by my co-workers consisted of intricate shapes designed and made from various materials. Each design is imaginative and different, so whichever design is chosen it is certainly something that is unique and could not be produced for a mass market.”

The winner of the internal company competition will be announced shortly and the entire team will take part in the manufacture of the final trophies.
