Norwich Castle Project

The Handrail Creations team are donning their helmet and shield in preparation for our newly secured job at Norwich Castle Keep!

Founded in around 1067 and home to William the Conqueror, this Norman fortification has received a National Lottery grant for the vast restoration works that are due to be completed this year. As part of this restoration, Handrail Creations has been commissioned to provide over 70 linear metres of continuous oak handrail starting in the deepest depths of the castle dungeons.

We are proud to be brought in on this project and pleased to think that our craftsmanship will sit alongside some of the finest handiwork made and produced over a thousand years ago.

We are really pleased to have been brought onto this job by Norwich-based Olympic Welding and working with a home-town team for this amazing piece of history.

Whilst we don’t have many knights working at Handrail Creations HQ, we are sure our jesters will be able to make a handrail fit for a king.
