In 2020 we manufactured and installed a continuous wreathing oak handrail as part of a staircase refurbishment. The property was a beautiful 7-bedroom Victorian retreat in Coniston in the Lake District.

What looks like a simple staircase came with it’s challenges. For example, installing new tapered spindles, reinforcing the bullnose tread, and scribing the handrail to sit around the architrave mould.

The softwood spindles we’re pre-cut to length and were installed using traditional methods and most importantly, no newel posts.
