What are wooden handrails?

Wooden handrails for stairs are handrails made from various kinds of timber, such as oak, walnut and ash. We use and manufacture bespoke handrails made from prime-grade hardwoods such as sapele or tulip solid timber, as not only are they incredibly robust, but they’re the most ideal for painting due to their straight grain, minimal knots and defects. Plus, from our expertise, they provide some of the best finishes for a wooden handrail.

Most wooden handrails we create are straight-fitting. But at Handrail Creations, the majority of our wooden handrails can be made into curved and continuous – thanks to out 5-axis CNC machines. We take huge pride in our complex projects with curves, volutes, helical shapes and other similar design specifications.
