Office Assistant
The candidate will be responsible for supporting sales, contracts and accounts functions as the company continues to grow. Office based role which would suit an enthusiastic and organised individual, working as part of a small team.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of activities, including:
- Creating and formatting quotations
- Issuing invoices and liaising with customers
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
- Following up sales quotes, overdue invoices and deliveries
- Updating CRM system and accounting software (Xero)
- Answering the telephone / greeting guests
Skills
- Confident on the phone
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Ability to work on your own initiative and schedule
- Excellent presentation / communication skills
- Experience of using Xero preferred
- Understanding of reading drawings / construction helpful
Training can be given if required
Education
- GSCE level in Maths Science & English
Contractual
- 40 hours per week, office based

Wood Machinist / 5 AXIS CNC Operative
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of activities:
- Preparing raw materials – ripsawing, cross cutting, bandsawing and planing various exotic hardwoods
- Laminating materials – using various adhesives to bond materials prior to machining.
- Loading & Unloading the CNC router – using air powered tools to quickly and accurately load the machine bed as we produce handrails on the left and right hand sides simultaneously.
- Operating the 5 axis CNC router – loading pre-defined programs and manually operating speeds, feeds etc
- Other Duties – General workshop duties, troubleshooting mechanical issues, taking charge of deliveries, quality control with raw materials, tooling re-grind requirements, setting up and using JIGs etc.
Skills
- Candidates should have some experience in the woodworking industry.
- Proven troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge of tooling and/or CNCs preferable, but not essential
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- Attention to detail and an eye for quality standards
- Excellent time management
Education
- GSCE level in Maths Science & English
- Vocational courses / apprenticeships in relevant field preferable
Contractual
- 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri with breaks and lunch
- Overtime and split shift work likely in future

Junior Solidworks Designer
The successful candidate will have continued experience of using the Solidworks package and be confident in producing accurate 3D solid and surface models, as well as drawings, realtime renders and supporting the manufacturing team with BOMs etc.
The candidate will model complex curved staircases and bespoke wooden handrails, as well as occasional other specialist items like furniture.
In return we will train you as part of this specialist small team, allowing you to work on some of the biggest & best construction projects throughout the UK – from Billionaire’s mansions to the Houses of Parliament.
The role will require monthly travel around the UK to various construction sites and customer premises/homes to carry out digital surveys, which will be used as the underlying geometry for the CAD models. Therefore a driving license is essential – vehicle will be provided.
The candidate must have:
- Some experience of using Solidworks. This is non-negotiable.
- Some working experience, preferably in manufacturing environment or CAD office
- Strong initiative
- Attention to detail
- Driving license
Preferred but not essential:
- Degree or higher qualification in product design/digital modelling/CAD/architectural CAD
- Experience of working with staircases/joinery products
