The Longton project was commissioned by a private client near Preston. The stunning entrance to this Instagram-able home was a triple story and flooded with light – so the staircase had to be special.
The client had a timber staircase painted white and wanted a contrasting black handrail and spindles to be a focal point of the room. The laser-cut spindles included a diamond shape, designed to compliment those on the floor tiles and crystal doors.
The continuous handrail was produced with square pockets CNC machined on the underside for a sleek aesthetic where the steel spindles slotted.
We were able to pre-assemble the entire balustrade and handrail prior to sending it to site, ensuring a smooth install in two days.
As is typical with our projects, one of our French polishers went to the site after the install to stain & lacquer the timber handrails, making sure they will look beautiful for as long as possible.
