Onwards and upwards: Handrail Creations has a brand new home

October 4, 2024/0 Comments/in News/by Kenny

Since 2014, the home of Handrail Creations has been Burnden Business Park. And while we would never give up our Bolton roots, over the years it has quickly become clear that we needed to upsize and expand to accommodate our growing business.

In 2025, we hope to make the move to ‘Victoria Works’ – still in the Bolton area – but now we have 28,000 square feet to play with. The size of our new space – three times our current size – demonstrates our ambition for growth and just how far we’ve come in the past few years.

In addition to the factory floor space – which will house all of our manufacturing and production process prior to shipping – our new premises also has open plan offices spread over two floors, including a showroom and board room to welcome and host clients into a professional space.

But we’re not ready to move in just yet.

We have a huge refurbishment project planned for both the workshop and office space over the next few months, which will transform the new facility from bare walls and empty rooms to a fully functioning workspace.

As part of our expansion, we have ambitious plans to recruit more staff, install additional CNC machines, and increase our capacity for metal work and special finishes. Timber is – and always has been – the core part of our offering, but we’re excited to expand our services and offer even more to our customers.

Our Managing Director, Kenny, had this to say about the move: “The new factory is a long time coming, and gives us the opportunity to take our business to the next level – with capacity to take on more complex projects, develop new product ranges and employ and train more staff.”

Stay updated with our factory overhaul progress on our social media, where we’ll be posting weekly #FactoryFriday updates!
