On the hunt for a new factory

January 25, 2021/0 Comments/in General, News/by Kenny

Following continued business growth, Handrail Creations is on a mission to find a new factory that will help it to continue meeting customer needs. The award-winning Bolton-based handrail and balustrade specialist has experienced a significant rise in demand over the recent years, including during the recent coronavirus disruption.

While many businesses have been forced to navigate the new landscape that’s developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, Handrail Creations has been quick to identify changes in demand and implement new ways of working to address the challenges. A strong product diversification strategy and an expansion of the in-house design studio and engineering team has made Handrail Creations a natural choice for lockdown renovations, and in a bid to better meet the rising demand, the firm are now looking to buy or build a new purpose-built factory to facilitate the next stage of company growth. Kenny Macfarlane, Managing Director at Handrail Creations said,

“Like many other businesses, we’ve faced new challenges over the last year that have forced us to rethink our current operations and implement new ways to attract and satisfy our audience. We’re very pleased to see the fruits of our labour starting to pay off. Over the last two years, we have invested in new technologies and new talents that mean we’re able to offer a wider range of exceptional quality handrails and balustrade while simultaneously reducing our lead time. The next essential step is to secure more space.

“Enquiries and orders remain strong despite the economic slowdown. It’s imperative that we’re able to grow and adapt as a business to ensure we’re continuing to offer the same unrivalled level of customer service that we’ve become known for,”

…continues Macfarlane.

Despite the numerous challenges of the past year, Handrail Creations’ flexibility and ability to adapt rapidly has helped it enjoy many successes, including two new awards to add to the ever-growing list. It was named a finalist in the Business & Product Innovation category at the 2020 FSB Awards, and was crowned regional winner in the Business Growth and Strategy category at the MAKE UK Manufacturing Awards 2020.

Handrail Creations is seeking a new purpose built manufacturing facility in the Bolton area. The organisation is currently welcoming offers and inviting contacts with opportunities to come forward as it embarks on this next stage of its exciting growth and development journey. Anyone with information should contact Kenny Macfarlane on: 01204 370 559.
