Reeded Handrails for Theatre

We have been asked by a timber staircase specialist to produce some very unique handrail parts for the Grade II listed Criterion Theatre in central London.

The ‘reeded’ handrails have been manufactured to match existing hand carved handrails throughout the building and presented a real challenge for our CNC programmers and the hand finishing team at our factory in Bolton.

With each part a slightly different shape, they were all made with specialist tooling and were finished off with old fashioned chisels and patience. If you take a trip to the Criterion this summer, be sure to look out for these!
