Happy Birthday to us!

Handrail Creations staff new and old gathered at a local venue to celebrate 10 years of wreaths, volutes and spindles. The weather must have known we were celebrating as the sun was out and the beers were cold.

10 years ago, our managing director Kenny started out on a journey with his dad, a programmer and a CNC machine that only spoke Italian. They couldn’t have known at the time that starting Handrail Creations would involve 55 staff, over 2,500 and a whole lot of handrail components.

Thankfully our machines are now running in English and instead of three, our staff now total almost thirty.

Handrail Creations has spent the last 10 years innovating and growing. We have expanded our offices and workshop three times; in 2017, 2020 and just last year in 2023. Of the latest milestone Kenny Macfarlane said

“A decade in any business is a long time. I’m really proud of our staff and their mentality to take this from a little startup to the UK’s market leader and innovator for timber handrails – I couldn’t and haven’t done this alone, so we’ll be celebrating together tonight for sure”

Despite a few poorly heads on Saturday, we certainly enjoyed blowing the candles out, here’s to another ten years!
